NARTHANA GANAPATHI - A TANJORE PAINTING

Here is a Tanjore Painting-A Narthana Ganapathi  (DANCING GANESHA)

This is an unorthodox painting done in Tanjore style..

Since it is an offbeat one,I have not given the Ganesha

a traditional Tanjore style lotus bud mala....

Watch Him spread joy and cheer and prosperity all around Him

as He dances happily with gay abandon...

See His six hands-

He has the Ankusha and Paasa  in two hands,

The Naaga (snake)in another

A bowl of Modaks in one hand and the broken tusk in another...

And one hand blesses us all with a  the Abaya hasta mudra...
