A 30 YEAR OLD SHELL DOLL ...

Would you believe ...

this little shell doll is 30 years old!

I made this little cutie for a

Navaratri Golu celebration long back...

in fact ,I made a set of them

but in the course of time

some were lost...

some were broken...

some left to better homes...

and this " Shell Lady "

(is she selling vegetables?)

alone found a safe home

in my showcase...

It is indeed ,quite simple

to make one doll like this...

I just stuck the shells together

with some glue...(quick fix)

not so easy task...as the shells

slip down before they dry up...

So ,I had to support them from all sides...

till they were dry and fixed...

But ,today...

you can make them with Feviquik

or Mseal  (regular or Shilpakar)...

Then I highlit it with a little fabric paint!

and still cannot believe

it is almost as good as new!
